Senior Systems Engineer, Josh Archer, became a Veeam Certified Architect on February 16th, after completing the The Veeam® Certified Engineer – Advanced: Design and Optimization course. The class is designed for professional services consultants and system administrators who have a solid virtualization, backup and recovery knowledge base and have already obtained the Veeam Certified Engineer designation.
“Josh is incredibly talented and the leader of our engineering team, he sets the bar high every day and this certification is just one more example of his hard work and dedication.” Says Andrew Roe, Chief Operations Officer at Element Four.
Archer, who joined the Element Four team in 2016, has a robust skillset in many different areas. His expertise in network design/architecture, VMware, Cisco switching, Foritgate Firewalls, and Microsoft Windows server Administration allows him to design, implement, and support a wide range of IT systems for clients.
In order to obtain his VCMA designation, Archer had to complete a rigorous two-day technical course and receive a passing score of above 70% on the VMCE-A exam. The exam is a 40 question, multiple-choice, test that covers a range of topics centered on how to design and optimize the “Veeam Availability Suite.”
The Veeam Certified Architect (VMCA) is the highest level of Veeam technical certification attainable. With this designation, Archer joins an elite class of Systems Engineers. According to Roe, this solidifies Element Four’s commitment to the Veeam platform.
“This is a great leap forward for our organization and we will continue to look for ways to further strengthen our partnership with Veeam,” Roe states.
